New Delhi, 30 May: Indian Railways has so far transported more than 21,392 metric tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in over 1,274 tankers across the country.
The Ministry of Railways on Sunday said that 313 Oxygen Express trains have completed their journey and reached out to various states. In addition, five Oxygen Express trains are carrying more than 406 tonnes of LMOs in 23 tankers.
The ministry said that the delivery of LMOs in Haryana and Karnataka has crossed two thousand metric tons. LMO deliveries in Tamil Nadu and Telangana have crossed 1800 tonnes.
It is noteworthy that the Oxygen Express started 36 days ago on 24 April, when the first Oxygen Express reached Maharashtra with 126 MT of oxygen.
According to the latest data of the Ministry of Railways, 614 MT of Oxygen in Maharashtra, about 3797 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 656 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 5476 MT in Delhi, 2023 MT in Haryana, 98 MT in Rajasthan, 2115 in Karnataka. MT, 320 MT in Uttarakhand, 1808 MT in Tamil Nadu, 1738 MT in Andhra Pradesh, 225 MT in Punjab, 380 MT in Kerala, 3808 MT in Telangana, 38 MT in Jharkhand and 240 MT in Assam were supplied.
