India’s foreign exchange reserves reached a record level of US$ 453.422 billion

New Delhi, December 13: According to the foreign exchange(Forex) reserves data released by the Reserve Bank on Friday, the country’s foreign exchange reserves have scaled up by $ 2.342 billion during the week ended December 6. It reached a new record of $ 453.422 billion.

In the previous week also, foreign exchange reserves had increased by more than two billion dollars and it increased by 2.484 billion dollars to 451.08 billion dollars.

The increase in reserves during the week under review has been mainly due to increase in foreign exchange assets. During the week under review, gold reserves rose by $ 430 million to $ 27.078 billion.
