Lucknow, March 29: A passenger died in an Indigo flight going from Patna to Delhi. After this, the plane was emergency landed at Lucknow’s Amausi airport. The police have taken the body into custody and started further action.
Sarojini Nagar police station in-charge Rajdev Prajapati said on Saturday that according to the information received from the airport administration, Indigo flight number (6-E-2163) was going from Patna to Delhi. Satish Chandra Varman, a resident of Nalbari, Assam, was traveling in the plane with his wife Kanchan and son-in-law Keshav. During this time, his health suddenly deteriorated.
On being informed by the family, the crew members informed the pilot about this. The pilot took permission from the officials for emergency landing at the nearby Amausi airport and landed the plane. The health department team present at the airport declared the passenger dead after investigation.
On receiving the information about the incident, Sarojini Nagar police took the body in their custody and sent it to the KGMU. Police is waiting for the postmortem report.
