New Delhi, March 13: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has achieved another major achievement. ISRO has successfully completed the undocking in the SpaDeX ( Space Docking Experiment) mission. On Thursday, ISRO has given this information by releasing pictures on X.

It is noteworthy that after the launch of the mission, ISRO had written history by connecting 2 different satellites in space. These two satellites connected together were successfully separated again today. There will be more such experiments of connecting and separating 2 different satellites in space. Today’s success is an important step towards future deep space missions and establishing indigenous space stations.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh congratulated the ISRO team on this achievement.

He said that it is a matter of happiness for every Indian. SpaDex satellites completed incredible de-docking. This has paved the way for the smooth running of future ambitious missions including the Indian Space Station, Chandrayaan 4 and Gaganyaan. The continued patronage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to add to the excitement.

The primary objective of the SpaDeX mission is to develop and demonstrate the technology required for rendezvous, docking and undocking of two small spacecraft (SDX01, named Chaser, and SDX02, named Target) in low earth circular orbit. Secondary objectives include demonstration of electrical power transfer between docked spacecraft, which is essential for future applications such as space robotics.
