Lucknow, 21 Sept: Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has asked all district magistrates (DMs) in the state to provide e-district services within a week, according to a government statement issued on Thursday.
According to the statement, the existing time limit for processing these services is unreasonably long.
According to the statement, the DMs have also been asked to establish accountability for pending cases that exceed the designated time frame and to take strict action against officers who are negligent in the disposal of e-district services to avoid delays in the issuance of caste, domicile (residence), income, and status certificates.
Government officials recently submitted the concept for e-district services to Yogi at the CM Command Centre and Dashboard review meeting.
During the conference, authorities stated that the state had received 61,32,976 applications for caste certificates since January.
These applications are normally reviewed and issued within 15 days by the local tehsildar. It went on to say that 59,13,420 applications have been rejected so far (96 percent of the total).
However, 2,12,227 applications are presently waiting inside the stipulated time frame restriction, and an additional 7,329 applications are still pending even after the authorized time frame limit, according to the statement. Similarly, 76,45,970 applications for resident certificates have been submitted since January.
These certifications are available in 20 days. To date, 73,70,019 applications have been rejected with a 95 percent success rate. However, according to the statement, 2,75,433 applications are pending inside the time restriction and 54,984 applications are pending outside the time limit.
Since January, 77,62,086 applications for income certificates have been received in the same time range. Tehsildars provide these certifications within 15 days.
So far, 74,31,669 applications (or 95% of all applications received) have been rejected. Nonetheless, there are 2,75,433 applications waiting inside the time limit, and 54,984 applications remain outstanding even after the time restriction has expired.
According to the statement, 31,853 applications for status certificates have been received since January. The DMs award these certifications within 45 days.
So far, 31,853 applications (or 58% of the total) have been processed. In addition, 3,421 applications are waiting inside the deadline, and 9,765 are outstanding even after the deadline has passed.
The CM further emphasized the significance of expediting the processing of these applications, urging a 100 percent completion rate with no tolerance for error.
According to the IGRS (integrated grievances redressal system) report, the top three districts in terms of issuing caste certificate applications within the specified period are Banda, Sitapur, and Amethi, with Auraiya, Ghaziabad, and Lucknow rounding out the worst three.
Similarly, the top-performing districts for handling domicile certificate applications are Sitapur, Banda, and Kannauj, while the least efficient districts are Auraiya, Lucknow, and Jalaun.
The districts that excel at processing income certificate applications are Sitapur, Banda, and Shahjahanpur, whereas the districts that lag behind are Auraiya, Ghaziabad, and Kaushambi.
In the disposal of status certificate applications, the top districts are Shamli, Ghaziabad, and Hardoi, while the lowest districts are Jalaun, Shahjahanpur, and Ballia.
