Lucknow, 25 August: On the occasion of Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna will be celebrated with full joy and devotion in homes and temples as well as police stations, prisons and police lines across the state. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to celebrate the holy festival of Sri Krishna Janmashtami with traditional devotion in all reserve police lines, police stations and prisons before Janmashtami festival.
Along with this, the Chief Minister has ordered to make security, cleanliness and other arrangements smoothly during the events of Krishna Leela, tableau and procession across the state.
Apart from this, instructions have also been given to arrange for adequate police force at crowded places. In compliance with Yogi’s instructions, Director General of Uttar Pradesh Prison Administration and Reform Services PV Rama Shastri has issued instructions to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami traditionally in all the prisons of the state.
Special vigilance should be taken at Shri Krishna’s birthplace Mathura. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued necessary guidelines to the officials on Sunday regarding the Janmashtami festival.
He said that the festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated with great reverence and pomp in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, in which lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad come to participate. The Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi / Shahi Idgah Mosque site located in Mathura city is very sensitive. This place is also on the target of ISI and various terrorist organizations. In view of this, special vigilance and proper police arrangements should be made.Situation of dispute should not arise during tableaux, processions.
Along with this, CM Yogi has also given instructions to avoid any kind of dispute during worship, procession. He said that disputes are often seen regarding the decoration of tableaux at disputed sites, disputes in the route of the procession and new routes. Along with this, the organization of programs that are different from tradition and taking out non-traditional processions/processions, use of loudspeakers are also used.
At the same time, Yogi also mentioned that disputes have arisen at many places in the past regarding the use of loudspeakers when processions pass near the religious places of other sects during worship, objectionable comments/slogans during processions/programmes, etc. To ensure that such a situation does not arise anywhere, all necessary arrangements should be made with sensitivity. Apart from this, videography should be done during the procession keeping in view the security. CCTV cameras located around all the program sites and on the route of the procession should be made functional. Checking should also be done with drone cameras at important sensitive places.There should be adequate police arrangements at the venues.
Chief Minister Yogi directed that all the events, Leela sites, pandals, temples and processions related to Shri Krishna Janmashtami in all the districts should be listed and planned police arrangements should be made. Along with this, strong security and traffic management should be ensured by assessing the possible number of devotees coming to all the events.
The Chief Minister said that no new tradition should be allowed at all. Update the list of anti-social, communal elements and ensure strict action against these communal and undesirable elements if required. He said that large programs are organized in the police lines and ISKCON temples of all the districts, where a large number of devotees, women, men, children, elderly participate. To ensure the safe completion of these programs, effective security and traffic management should be done by the district in-charge.
Try to resolve the dispute, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that wherever any kind of dispute has come up related to the Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival in the past years or so far this year, the gazetted officers of the police and revenue department should study the situation from now on and ensure action to resolve the dispute and remove sensitivity.
CM Yogi said that clear instructions should be given to subordinate employees that they should go to their beat and investigate all types of disputes and as soon as the beat information is received, the senior officer should go to the spot and resolve the dispute in time. The District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Sub-District Magistrate, Area Officer should also visit the various dispute sites and routes as per the need. There shouldbe no program of indecent dance anywhere.
Chief Minister Yogi directed that police parties should be taken out regularly for patrol checking in all the districts. In the morning, the patrol checking party (poster party) should do intensive checking and ensure that no objectionable poster is put up anywhere.
He said that the police department also has a tradition of celebrating this festival with decency and gaiety. Apart from all the security arrangements, also ensure that this holy festival is celebrated in a traditional manner with joy and decency. There should not be any kind of indecent dance program on this occasion. The concerned Police Commissioner, District In-charge and Commander should observe the programs to be held in this regard in advance and ensure at every level that no kind of indecent and obscene dialogue or dance takes place.
