According to The Japan Times, Japan Airlines said on Thursday that its system was cyber attacked in the morning. It was detected at 8:56 am. The technical team has resolved it. After the cyber attack was reported, ticket sales for departing domestic and international flights were temporarily suspended.
The airline said in a post on X, “We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this.” According to the Japan Broadcasting Corporation, about a dozen departing flights at Haneda Airport have been delayed by up to 50 minutes. No flights have been canceled. Other domestic airlines ANA, Sky Mark, Solaseed Air, Air-Do and Starflyer are operating as usual.
