Jaunpur, 16 Dec: The mystery surrounding a student’s suicide at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University on Thursday was not solved when another student committed suicide on Saturday.

The deaths of two students in two days have caused a commotion on campus. Police force has been deployed throughout the campus as a preventative measure.

Neeraj Singh, an inhabitant of Ramgarh in the Mirzapur district, was a Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University B.Tech student. He was studying with his sister in a leased residence in the Sarai Khwaja police station area near the university in Siddiquipur. Ten days ago, Sister visited the village. He hanged himself in his room on Friday night.

Panic erupted among the university authorities after getting information about this on Saturday morning. As soon as the information was received, the police including the Vice Chancellor reached the spot, took possession of the body and started investigation. The family members have been informed by the university administration.

It is noteworthy that two days ago, Vivek Kumar, a pharmacy student from Azamgarh, had also committed suicide by consuming poison in the Charak Hostel of the university.

However, no complaint was given by the family members in this matter.
