Lucknow, March 19: The investigation into the stampede during Maha Kumbh Mela-2025 in Prayagraj has intensified. The three-member judicial inquiry committee has appealed to the public for cooperation in providing evidence for investigation regarding the stampede incident in the fair area.
Santosh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the three-member judicial inquiry commission, said that an investigation is being conducted into the stampede incident in the Mahakumbh Mela area during Mauni Amavasya on 29 January 2025. The commission has asked all persons aware of the facts and circumstances of this matter to provide their statement, preferably affidavit and if any person has any original video or photo made related to this incident, then make it available within 10 days at room number 108 on the first floor of Hazratganj Janpath Vikas Bhawan in Lucknow.

It is to be noted that in connection with the sudden and unpleasant incident that took place in the Kumbh Mela area on 29 January, a three-member judicial inquiry commission has been constituted under the chairmanship of Justice Harsh Kumar (former judge, High Court, Allahabad), which includes members VK Gupta and Dinesh Kumar Singh.
