Muzaffarnagar, 9 Jan: District officials here ordered a judicial investigation into the death of a 17-year-old prisoner of a government protection home.
Himanshu, a prisoner, was found unresponsive at the government protection home on Sunday and was transported to the district hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Satish Gautam, the District Probation Officer, informed reporters on Monday that a court probe into Himanshu’s death had been recommended. He noted that a letter to that effect had been issued to the district judge.
