‘Kalash’ installed on sanctum sanctorum of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple

Ayodhya, 14 April: The Kalash was installed on the top of the ‘Garbhagriha’ of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Monday. The construction of the sanctum sanctorum is in the final phase.

According to the Shri Ram Trus, worship was done as per the Sanatan rituals before the installation of the Kalash.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said that today on Monday, the Kalash Pujan Vidhi was started at 9.15 am on the main peak of the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple and the Kalash was installed at 10.15 am.

He has expressed hope that Shri Ram Darbar will be established on Akshaya Tritiya on April 30. All the idols will be consecrated by fixing a holy date in June. This program will be three days long. The program will start two days before the main day, in which mandatory ritualistic processes like Jalavas, Annavas, Aushadhivas, Shayyavas will be completed.

The General Secretary said that all the idols are almost ready. Clothes and jewellery are being prepared. The process of bringing the idols will begin after April 15. The idols made of white Makrana stone are heavy, so they will be brought and installed at the designated place. The idol of Saint Tulsidas has already been installed in it. A total of eighteen idols are to come from Jaipur. The idols of Maharishi Valmiki, Guru Vashishtha, Vishwamitra, Agastya, Nishadraj, Shabari, Ahalya etc. of Sapt Mandap are about to be prepared. Clothes and ornaments are being made. The idols of all the six temples including Annapurna, Hanuman Ji and Shiva of the rampart are also to come. There is still time in the Sheshavatar temple.

He also told that the tower crane will be removed by April, then the rampart left incomplete in the north and south will be constructed.
