Kanpur, August 14: Under the drive being run against cyber crimes, Kanpur Cyber ββββCell South on Wednesday succeeded in returning a total of Rs 3 lakh 29 thousand 525 to the accounts of seven victims of cyber fraud in different ways. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner of Police South Ravindra Kumar Singh.
He told that Cyber ββββCell Incharge South Zone Sub Inspector Sanit Malik and his team took prompt action in the cases registered by the victims of cyber fraud in various police station areas in the past days and returned their entire money to the accounts of 7 people. As soon as the money was returned to the accounts, the victims praised the police team a lot.
He told that cyber fraud of Rs 70 thousand took place from the account of Tapan Tripathi, resident of W Block Kushinagar, Naubasta. The team took legal action and succeeded in getting the entire money back in the account on Wednesday. Similarly, Rs 37,000 was returned to the account of Sandhya Gupta, a resident of Anandpuri TP Nagar of Kidwai Nagar police station area. Rs 19622 was returned to the account of Akanksha, a resident of Naubasta block of Kidwai Nagar, Rs 18190 was returned to the account of Nirbhay Goswami, a resident of Shivpuri East, Rs 104432 was returned to the account of Akhtar Alam, a resident of Juhi Safed Colony of Kidwai Nagar, Rs 48,000 was returned to the account of Yash Yadav, a resident of Juhi Safed Colony. In this way, the cyber cell of the south succeeded in getting a total of Rs 3 lakh 29 thousand 225 back on Wednesday.
