Lucknow, 23 January: Retired Principal Shrikant Bajpai contributed all the deposits of Rs. 45 lakhs for the construction of the โbhavyaโ Ram temple in Ayodhya district of Uttar Pradesh. He has also expressed his desire to donate his house.
Shrikant Bajpai, who retired as Principal from Aryanagar Inter College in Kanpur, lives with his brother in Vivek Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
On Saturday, he called the state Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon and gave all the accumulated money that is Rs 45 lakh of his life for the construction of a grand Ram temple and expressed his desire to give his house in Kanpur worth about five crore rupees.
Bajpai has given seven cheques worth Rs. 45 lakhs, out of which 21 lakhs are donated in memory of his late wife, 11 lakhs in memory of his late father, 11 lakhs in his own name and the rest in memory of his ancestors and society.
On this occasion, the Urban Development Minister said that I bowed in front of Bajpai, who is eager to donate everything for the construction of Shri Ram temple.
He hoped that people will be inspired by Srikanth Bajpai’s all-time great donation.
Minister Ashutosh Tandon said that Bajpai has been a teacher by profession and he had deposited his hard-earned income for the future but today he donated all his wealth towards the construction of Ram temple. Now he will also give the house. I salute to the extreme sacrifice of the Shrikant Bajpai.
