Kanpur, 16 November: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday held a mega roadshow with party candidate Suresh Awasthi for the assembly by-elections being held in Sisamau, Kanpur. Crowds gathered in Sisamau to see the Chief Minister in the roadshow.
Meanwhile, Sisamau echoed with slogans of Yogi and Modi from the mouth of the audience on both sides of the roadshow route. In view of security, a large police force and PAC, ATS personnel were deployed and continuous monitoring was done by drones.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s helicopter landed at the ITI helipad and from there reached Bajariya intersection via car. Where he boarded a saffron-coloured chariot with BJP candidate Suresh Awasthi. Where the roadshow started after 51 Batukas chanted mantras and blew conches.
During the roadshow, 500 women party workers were walking ahead wearing lotus saree and carrying the symbol of lotus mark, a huge crowd gathered on both sides of the road to greet them. From Harshaya Mahavidyalaya to Lenin Park crossing and then from there to the left Sangeet Talkies crossing, 12 blocks were packed with spectators. Everyone seemed desperate to catch a glimpse of Chief Minister Yogi. Sadhus, saints, social class workers of the city, office bearers of Vyapar Mandal, Scheduled Caste Front, Backward Front, Youth Front, Farmers Front and Women Front and office bearers of various organizations also arrived.
On this occasion, regional president Prakash Pal, MP Ramesh Awasthi, District President Deepu Pandey, South District President Shivram Singh, MLA Surendra Maithani, Anoop Awasthi Anurag Sharma etc. were present.
Regional media in-charge Anup Awasthi said that since Saturday morning, BJP Kanpur Bundelkhand region president Prakash Pal, Raghunandan Bhadoria, divisional president Abhimanyu Saxena and Govind Shukla, Alok Pandey, Naveen Pandit, Lakshmi Kori, Neeraj Raxel, Monu Gupta along with dozens of councilors were busy in ensuring the successful completion of the road show.
In view of security, 3 companies of PSC, 400 policemen, 20 inspectors, 150 sub-inspectors, 13 ACPs, 6 ADCPs, two DCPs, 2 ADCPs PAC, 4 ACP PSC officers were engaged in monitoring.
