Kanpur, June 04: The mastermind of the violence that broke out in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh on Friday was arrested from Lucknow along with three of his associates on Saturday.
The four accused were hiding in the office of a YouTube channel in Hazratganj. Police had detained 40 people after the incident, but released 20 after questioning. After the arrest of four people from Lucknow, a total of 24 people have been arrested in this case so far. The search for the rest is on.

Police Commissioner Vijay Singh Meena told in a press conference that the national president of MM Jauhar Association, Hayat Zafar Hashmi, has been arrested for instigating violence after Friday afternoon prayers in Bekganj area of ​​the district. He had announced the closure of the market. The post related to this was going viral on social media for several days.
Police commissioner said that after executing the incident, the mastermind Hayat Zafar Hashmi had fled to Lucknow with his three accomplices, Javed Ahmed, the state chairman of MM Jauhar Esso, resident of Beconganj, member Mo Rahil and resident of Bajaria police station area, Mo Sufiyan. There he was hiding in the office of Hazratganj, a YouTube channel run by fellow Javed’s Asian Vice Post. After finding out their location, the teams of district police and crime branch raided and arrested them. Six mobiles and some documents have also been recovered from all of them.
The Commissioner of Police said that the involvement of many people has come to light during the interrogation of the arrested people.
The CP stated that in order not to do any such act in future, taking action against all of them under NSA and Gangster Act, their properties will also be confiscated.
