Kanpur, 15 May: After Delhi, Noida and Lucknow, now ten schools of Kanpur also have received bomb threat emails. Uttar Pradesh Police became active on the information and registered a case and started investigation on Wednesday. This information was given by Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Harishchandra.
He said that a threat to blow up ten schools of Kanpur, including Sanatan Dharam Mandir School in Nazirabad and KDMA School in Barra, was received through an e-mail on Tuesday night. As soon as this information was received, he immediately instructed all the Assistant Police Commissioners to conduct intensive checking of schools with bomb squads late at night and strengthen the security arrangements.
Along with this, cyber cell was instructed to investigate this matter and on the basis of the complaint letter received from the school management, a case should be registered and investigation should be done.
He said that preliminary investigation found that the e-mail was generated from a Russian server.
