New Delhi, May 13: The Congress seems to be heading towards a clear majority in the Karnataka assembly election results that came on Saturday. Congress has won 137, BJP 62, Janata Dal (Secular) 21 and others are leading or leading in four, according to the Election Commission. Congress got more than 43 percent votes in these elections. BJP is 35.7 and JDS is 13.32 percent.
AAP’s Sushil Kumar Rinku is leading in Punjab’s Jalandhan Lok Sabha seat. In Uttar Pradesh, Kirti Kol and Anuradh Chauhan of Apna Dal (Sonelal) have won Chanbe seat in Mirzapur and Swar seat in Rampur district. Tankadhar Tripathi has won the Jharsuguda seat in Odisha. Sinshar Kupar Rai Thabah of United Democratic Party has won.
Voting was held on Wednesday for 224 assembly seats in Karnataka.
