Karnataka assembly polls: Congress will keep abusing me, I will continue to do public service : PM Modi

New Delhi, 29 April: Launching his election campaign in Karnataka on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the issue of personal attacks on him by the Congress party. He said that the Congress party would continue to waste time in abusing and he would be engaged in public service.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Narendra Modi addressed the party’s election rally in Humnabad, Karnataka today. During this, he accused both his rival parties Congress and JDS in the state of ignoring the development of the state. He said that the Congress party hates those who work for the common man. Because of this hatred, the Congress party has abused him 91 times.

He said, ?Congress did not spare even the veterans of the country, abused everyone. Congress insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar ji, Savarkar ji. Now they are doing the same with me. I am honored that the Congress is considering me on the ‘same footing’ as these great men. They will keep abusing me, I will keep dedicating myself to the service of the country.”

He said that the upcoming elections would decide the role of Karnataka in realizing its dream of a developed India. This election is not only to form the government for 5 years but to make the state the number one state in the country. This is possible only through the government of double engine. Highway, Expressway, Metro, Vande Bharat, irrigation facilities have expanded in Karnataka. In the last 5 years, the common people have seen the pace of development.

The senior BJP leader alleged that the Congress and JD(S) hate farmers, and can never do anything for the welfare of farmers. Congress has not fulfilled the promises made to the farmers of Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The Congress had left the sugarcane farmers of Karnataka to their fate. Whereas BJP is solving their problems on priority.
