Kanpur Development Authority may play an important role in making Uttar Pradesh one trillion economy
Kanpur: On the occasion of national conclave on ‘Urban planning’, Vice Chairman of Kanpur Development Authority(KDA) Arvind Singh presented a road map of making Uttar Pradesh one trillion economy in which KDA has an important role. This conclave was held in Lucknow on Friday. Mr. Singh stated that KDA is concerned about all the sections of the city. For this KDA has brought four enormous and striking schemes i.e. Bingawan, Chakeri, New Kanpur City and Amrit Enclave. The above mentioned four plans will surely increase investment in Kanpur and linked areas.
Along with that these schemes will definitely help people to raise their standard of living.
Previously, the conclave was inaugurated by honorable chief minister Yogi Adityanath. UP chief secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, president of the high level committee Keshav Verma, principal secretary housing Nitin Ramesh Gokarn, principal secretary urban development and some other senior officials also attended the conclave. Apart from this, the development authorities of Varanasi, Lucknow and Ayodhya have been invited to participate in the conclave.
In his presentation Singh said that around 328 km area was covered under the Kanpur Master Plan 2021, but in view of growth of population and requirement, the area of the proposed Kanpur’s Master Plan- 2031 has been expanded to 580.78 square kms. He stated, “For development of Kanpur, different areas have been identified and have been classified zone-wise in view of development of Bithoor as a tourist place, setting up of knowledge city in New Kanpur City for education and medicine, establishment of New Business City in the Chakeri area and a proposal to set up an industrial hub on the lines of Gurgaon and Hyderabad”.
He also emphasized on showcase projects of KDA like Ganga barrage theme lighting, signature green, rainwater harvesting, Kanpur Boat Club, hotel and commercial plaza, Amrit Enclave, New Kanpur City, New Business City and the Botanical Garden.Attachments area
