Kejriwal’s judicial custody extended till September 3 in CBI case

New Delhi, August 27: The Rouse Avenue Court’s Special Judge Kaveri Baveja has extended the judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till September 3 in the CBI case related to the excise scam.

Kejriwal’s judicial custody was ending today, after which Kejriwal was produced in the court today.

CBI had told the court on August 23 that permission has been granted to prosecute Kejriwal. On July 10, the court had taken cognizance of the ED’s charge sheet and ordered Kejriwal to appear.

On May 17, ED had filed the seventh supplementary charge sheet, in which Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal have been accused.

So far 18 people have been arrested in this case, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, BRS leader K. Kavitha. Sanjay Singh, Manish Sisodia and K. are included in this. Kavita has got regular bail from the Supreme Court.
