Kenyan man arrested for illegally stay in Lucknow

Lucknow, July 19: Maurice Okiye, a native citizen of Kenya, has been arrested by the Lucknow Commissionerate Police from Indira Nagar in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, without visa and passport.

As no documents were found with Maurice, he was questioned for a long time and an FIR was registered under the Foreigners Act. 

Maurice, a resident of Nairobi, Kenya, had come to India to complete his studies. After doing B.Com, M.Com, he wanted to study further.

Meanwhile, an FIR was registered against him in a case of fraud in Lanka police station area of ​​​​Varanasi. He was arrested and sent to jail. After being released from jail, Maurice came to Lucknow in search of work. Here he started working as a cable wire connector. He kept his identity hidden. Despite having the skill in his hands, he was not serious about passport and visa.

During this time, a complaint was made against him and Lucknow Commissionerate Police arrested him from Sector 17 of Indira Nagar.
