New Delhi, 17 December: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) reduced the price of petrol by 7 paise per liter on Tuesday for the sixth consecutive day. OMC has cut petrol by 6 paisa per liter in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata and 7 paisa per liter in Chennai. It is worth noting that in the last six days, petrol in the capital Delhi has become cheaper by 37 paise per liter. However, there has been no change in the price of diesel.
Petrol and diesel prices in four metros
According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol is available in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai at the rate of Rs 74.63, Rs 80.29, Rs 77.29 and Rs 77.58 per liter respectively. In the four metros, diesel is being sold at Rs 66.04, Rs 69.27, Rs 68.45 and Rs 69.81 per liter respectively without any change.
In Lucknow, price of petrol is Rs 75.97/ liter and diesel’s price is Rs 66.33/ liter.
