Kanpur, June 13: Kuwait has now demanded 192 metric tonnes of indigenous cow dung from India because agricultural scientists of Kuwait have found that the date crop is yielding the expected results of indigenous cow dung, claimed MP and former Farmers Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh in CSA.
A one-day farmer-scientist interaction and training program organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dalipnagar was organized in the Directorate of Extension of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA) on Monday.
Chief Guest of the program former minister Radha Mohan Singh said that agriculture is directly related to the soil and the progress of farmers depends on the soil.
He said that the Government of India (GOI) launched the nationwide Soil Health Card Scheme in the year 2015 for the benefit of farmers, appealing to the farmers to at least start natural farming for their entire family. So that family members can stay healthy.
Vice Chancellor Dr DR Singh told that by adopting natural farming, we can keep our health, soil health and environment safe. Because in natural farming, indigenous cow dung, cow urine, Jeevamrut, Visamrut, Ghanjivamrut etc. Along with fertility comes an increase in the number of microorganisms. Shyam Bihari Gupta, member of Krishak Samridhi Aayog, Uttar Pradesh, guest of honor, also emphasized on natural farming.
