Prayagraj, 27 June: A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj changed her gender to be with her female partner.
Two lesbians swore to be companions, but when their family refused to recognize their love, one of them opted to undergo gender reassignment surgery. The woman, who was madly in love with her same sex partner wanted to change her gender to prevent any complications and to escape the intervention of others.
Therefore, the woman attempted every conceivable method to persuade the families, but she was unsuccessful, so she decided to alter her gender.
When her upper body parts were altered and her chest was restructured, a team of surgeons from Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj performed the sex reassignment operation. The doctors predicted that the procedure would take another 1.5 years, after which she would be transformed into a man. “The woman will be given testosterone replacement medication, which will accelerate the growth of chest hair,” stated Dr Mohit Jain.
He went on to say that following the gender change operation, the woman will be unable to conceive and become pregnant. “This is the first time such a surgery has been carried out, and it is projected to take roughly 18 months to complete. The woman’s health has been thoroughly examined, and she is in good health,β Dr Jain said.
