Varanasi, February 25: Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha’s car on Friday collided with an iron pillar on the slopes of the Malviya Bridge at Rajghat, police said.
However, The LG and all his accompanying people are safe in the accident. On getting the information, Adampur police reached the spot. The LG was sent to the destination by another train.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was on his way from Varanasi to his home town Ghazipur Zamania. As soon as his car reached the slope of Rajghat Bridge (Malviya Bridge), it suddenly collided with the iron pillar installed. Due to this the wheel of the car exploded. The driver parked the car on the side and another car was called.
On receving information, the policemen posted at the stop picket, CO Anil Rai, Mughalsarai Inspector Brijesh Tiwari also reached.
Later, Sinha was dispatched in another car. The Lieutenant Governor will attend scheduled programs in different assembly constituencies including Ghazipur’s Zamania, Muhammadabad and will also offer prayers at Kamakhya Dham temple of Gahmar.
