Five private security agencies to be linked to UP 112
Police will arrive in industrial establishments within 10 minutes of the alarm ringing
Lucknow, June 18: On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, to give more momentum to industrial investment in the state, a new initiative has been taken to make the security of industrial establishments and their connected units more robust and streamlined.
Under this, a pilot project has been approved by the Home Department so that industrial units can get a more secure environment.
Additional Chief Secretary, Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi said on Thursday that UP 112 has been granted permission to work with 5 private security agencies in the first phase under this pilot project. The scheme has been experimented with 8 installations of a security agency in Gorakhpur Industrial Area.
He informed that the alarm system of private security agencies coming under this pilot project will be linked to UP 112. As a result of the alarm system being integrated with UP 112, the industrial establishments associated with it will get the message of any emergency assistance immediately to the UP 112 headquarters and accordingly the Police Response Vehicle (PRV) will immediately reach for help.
He informed that after assessing the success of this project, it will be expanded with other security agencies of the state in the next phase.
Additional Director General (ADG) UP 112 Aseem Arun, while giving detailed information about the implementation of this project, said that private security agencies will be able to get help in four ways.
“Under the phone call integration of private agencies, they will be given a 10 digit number, through which specially trained communication officers will attend the coming time,” added ADG UP 112.
“The second will send messages directly to the security agency’s System 112 system under API Integration. It is specially designed for private security agencies only,” Aseem Arun informed.
Arun told further that the third API integration will strengthen SIP system security. In this, assistance can be sought through voice messages with data messages from one system to another.
“Agencies will be able to take help from 112 through the fourth app based service. By downloading the app in the phone, the PRV will be called on the spot using the SOS button,” concluded ADG UP 112.
ADG UP112 informed that to provide security to industries and other institutions, separate desks are being made in 112 headquarters. Information coming for assistance related to the industry area will be attended at this desk. The decision to deploy a separate PRV for the safety of the industrial area has also been taken by the concerned authorities.
