New Delhi, 12 May: A whopping, 141- rallies and road shows will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi while campaigning for the BJP in the last two months, by the time he files his candidacy from Varanasi for the third time on May 14. This amounts to the 73-year-old leader attending about three public engagements every day, which involves thousands of kilometers of travel.

A taste of this will be witnessed on Sunday, when the Prime Minister will hold four rallies in West Bengal, followed by a roadshow in Patna. On Monday, he will attend three rallies in Patna before traveling to Varanasi, where he will have a large roadshow in the evening that might last over four hours. The BJP is preparing a huge campaign centered on the tour ‘Hammar Modi, Hammar Kashi’.

On Tuesday morning, the PM will file his candidacy from Varanasi and then have further public engagements throughout the day. The Prime Minister’s campaign will continue until the end of May, with a possible total of 180-190 events.

Modi sees age as just a number. union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed on Saturday that Modi will finish his third term in 2029 and will continue to lead the party and the country until then. The Home Minister stated that there was no misunderstanding among the party on this issue.

This comes after AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said that Modi will retire at the age of 75 next year, handing over power to Amit Shah. The Home Minister made it clear that there is no such age limit of 75 in the BJP constitution.

Home Minister Amit Shah is in Varanasi to monitor preparations for Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow and nominating process. Sunil Bansal, a senior BJP politician, has also been camping in Varanasi for several days. According to sources, the Prime Minister plans to visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Kal Bhairav Temple during his two-day visit to Varanasi.

The diversity of India will be exhibited on numerous stages during the PM’s roadshow, with people from Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi, and other groups present to greet Modi. During the tour, the PM will travel five kilometers from Banaras Hindu University’s (BHU) entrance to the Kashi Vishwanath corridor in around four hours. The roadshow will feature performances by several musicians playing the Damru and Shankhs, and the BJP has organized quintals of flower petals for the event. Meanwhile, a list of possible PM nominees has been compiled, and four names will be chosen from it.
