Kanpur, 09 September: According to the railway authority, a LPG cylinder and some other suspicious items were placed on Kanpur-Farrukhabad railway track in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night. Meanwhile, Kalindi Express going to Bhiwani collided with the gas cylinder. Thankfully, the gas cylinder did not explode and fell far away. A major accident was averted. If the train had overturned, there could have been a huge loss of life and property.

Kalindi Express was going towards Bhiwani from Kanpur Central via Anwarganj station. It had just reached close to Shivrajpur railway station when suddenly a loud sound was heard. Due to high speed, the driver did not apply emergency brake and gave a memo on reaching Shivrajpur station at a short distance. It said that the train has collided with some iron object.

When RPF Inspector OP Meena went to the spot and saw it, he was shocked. Some suspicious items were found on the railway track and a gas cylinder was found lying far away, which was unexploded and was filled with gas. Seeing this, the inspector realized that a conspiracy has been hatched to overturn the train.

Izzat Nagar North Eastern Railway Division PRO Rajendra Singh said that a conspiracy has been hatched to overturn the train. The matter is being investigated and security of the railway track has been increased.
