Kathua, 10 April: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Kathua district of Jammu division for the first time to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections-2024. On Wednesday, Yogi Adityanath addressed a public meeting at the Sports Stadium in Kathua in favor of Udhampur MP and BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate Dr. Jitendra Singh.
Yogi Adityanath mentioned the works of Modi government here and criticized the opposition parties. CM greeted the people of Jammu on Navratri. He described the land of Jammu as the place of worship of deities, the place of worship of sages and saints, the land of those who made sacrifices for one India, a better India.
CM Yogi said that accidental Hindus had even raised questions on Ram-Krishna. These people tried to deny our worshipable gods by questioning the existence of Ram-Krishna, but today a grand temple has been constructed in Ayodhya.
He said that PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have proved by abolishing Article 370, the root cause of terrorism, whether it is Red Fort of Delhi or Lal Chowk of Jammu, there is enthusiasm all around. This area is connected to the main stream of development. When it comes to Jammu and Kashmir, every person wants to see the crown of India with pride.
The Chief Minister said that Congress’s greed for power led to the division of the country a day before independence, but in independent India we always believed in only one religion, that is nationalism. Nation is paramount for us. Whatever may be my personal belief, if it comes in the way of the nation, it will be set aside. He said that for me the independence, sovereignty and integrity of the country is paramount.
CM Yogi said that out of 140 crore people, 80 crore people are being given free ration. This facility will be available for the next five years, while on the other hand, Pakistan, which separated from India in 1947, is seen begging in the world with a bowl. One India-Great India is respected in the world today. The borders have been secured. It cannot happen that Pakistan will intrude and breach our security. Now even if a firecracker bursts, Pakistan clarifies that it is not my hand. He knows that if something happens, he will have to give to get it. If there is a strong government, there is a strong security system.
CM said that earlier people used to hesitate even in calling themselves Hindu. People were afraid to take the name of Ayodhya. In 2017, when I became the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, I went to Ayodhya. People were surprised and asked what he was doing, some people would get angry. I said if it happens then let it happen. I cannot play with public trust.
CM said that the credit for handing over the reins of the country to Modi ji goes to you. If the public had not voted, we would not have been able to handle Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest state. When pro-Pakistan terrorists created havoc in Jammu and Kashmir, there was anarchy in UP under the protection of power.
CM also urged the people of Jammu to come to Ayodhya. CM said that there is a better security environment in the country. We do not hesitate in UP. If someone riots in UP, they are hanged upside down. If someone chatters too much, a blast of chilli is applied from below. CM said that people will come to talk about issues like region, caste, language etc. but we do not want to get trapped in any issue. Much has been lost, now is the time to gain. The time has come to strengthen the country.
Yogi said that by connecting Kathua with the development stream, we have to give a bright future to the present and future generations. Earlier, people had left Jammu and Kashmir to trust God, but in the last ten years, expressways, medical colleges and technological institutes have been built here. On this occasion, BJP State President Ravindra Raina, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, BJP State Organization General Secretary Ashok Kaul, State General Secretary Dr. DK Manal, Sunil Sethi, former Minister Rajiv Jasrotia etc. were present.
