Lucknow, May 25: Voting is underway in the sixth phase for 14 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh since 7 am on Saturday.
An average of 52.02 percent voting has taken place in this phase till 5 pm. Ambedkar Nagar has recorded the highest voting of 59.53 percent and Phulpur has recorded the lowest voting of 46.80 percent. There are queues of voters at the polling stations and peaceful voting is continuing.
According to the Election Commission, till 5 pm, the voting in the 14 Lok Sabha seats of UP where voting is being held in the sixth phase, has been 53.60 percent in Sultanpur, 49.65 percent in Pratapgarh, 46.80 percent in Phulpur, 49.30 percent in Allahabad, 59.53 percent in Ambedkarnagar, 50.71 percent in Shravasti, 50.62 percent in Dumariyaganj, 55.03 percent in Basti, 51.11 percent in Sant Kabirnagar, 52.86 percent in Lalganj (reserved), 54.20 percent in Azamgarh, 52.65 percent in Jaunpur, 52.10 percent in Machhlishahr (reserved) and 50.67 percent in Bhadohi Lok Sabha seat.
Amid tight security, voters will be able to exercise their franchise till 6 pm.
