Barrackpore/Hooghly, 12 May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted the Trinamool Congress’ vote-bank politics on Sunday, alleging that the party’s thugs are threatening the afflicted women of Sandeshkhali, where claims of sexual assault against TMC officials have surfaced, in order to protect the perpetrators.
Without naming Rahul Gandhi, 53, he also said that the Congress will receive less seats than the age of its’shehzada’ in Lok Sabha polls throughout the nation. While addressing an election rally in Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas district, PM Modi said that under TMC administration, Hindus have become second-class residents in the state, and that no one can repeal the CAA legislation while Modi is in power.
“We have all witnessed what the TMC has done to the sisters and mothers of Sandeshkhali. The TMC goons are now terrorizing ladies in Sandeshkhali, and the major perpetrator is Shajahan Sheikh. The TMC is doing all possible to shield the perpetrators of Sandeshkhali,” he stated.
His comments came in the wake of various reported videos circulating on social media claiming that a local BJP party leader forced many women in Sandeshkhali to sign blank documents that were then filled up as charges of sexual assault against TMC leaders.
PM Modi said that under the TMC government, Bengal has become a hotbed of corruption and a cottage industry for bomb-making, and that the state’s governing party has given in to vote bank politics.
TMC has bowed to vote bank politics in Bengal, where you cannot use the name Shri Ram or celebrate Ram Navami. Hindus have been reduced to second-class citizens in Bengal under TMC administration, he claims.
Later, in another gathering in Hooghly, he said that Congress would win less seats than the age of their Shehzada (Rahul Gandhi). The Congress leader is in his early fifties.
Last Monday, the Prime Minister stated that the Congress’s tally in the next Lok Sabha elections will be at an all-time low. TMC cannot form a government or even act as an opposition party. The Congress and the Left cannot create a government. Only the BJP-led NDA can offer you with a stable and powerful government, he stated.
PM Modi criticized the INDIA bloc’s appeasement tactics, claiming that Congress and its other elements are making fragmented remarks as a sign of defeat.
