Lucknow, 25 August: In a press conference on Friday, Joint Commissioner of Police Upendra Aggarwal told that continuous efforts are being made to improve the traffic in the capital. Those who break the traffic rules are being instructed and challaned as well.
Joint Commissioner of Police Upendra told that earlier 11 no parking zones were created on July 17 to make traffic smooth and strong in Lucknow. 1658 vehicles were reconnoitered in 30 days. 1595 four wheelers, 310 two wheelers were lifted, including 102 VVIP vehicles, 19 press written vehicles. By stopping the errant drivers, the traffic police personnel instruct them to improve.
He added, apart from this, invoice is also done. Now we have created 17 no parking zones in Lucknow. Vehicles parked in the areas declared as parking zones will be removed by reconnaissance with the help of cranes. Along with this, the vehicle owner will have to pay no parking challan and towing cost under the MV Act.
