Lucknow, 01 May: Committed to women’s safety, dignity and self-reliance, the fourth phase of Yogi Government’s grand mission Shakti Abhiyan is going to begin from May 6. Mission Shakti will be seen in a new colour. Women and daughters belonging to rural and urban areas have been empowered by this campaign started for the upliftment of women and daughters in the state and for their safety, respect and self-reliance.
In such a situation, due to better results of Mission Shakti, exercise has started to give impetus to the campaign in Yogi Sarkar-02. In Yogi Sarkar-02 also, preparations are being made to give impetus to the campaign. An action plan is being prepared for this soon. In this, schemes based on women and daughters are being prepared by marking all the departments.
Manoj Rai, Director, Women’s Welfare Department said that during the last tenure of Yogi government in the state, along with running a massive awareness campaign in all the districts under the Mission Shakti Abhiyan, daughters and women were connected with golden schemes.
He added, this time also different departments of the state will organize special programs under Mission Shakti. Under the campaign by the Women’s Welfare Department, the work of making people aware about various laws and provisions related to violence against women and children will be done in all the districts. In this, special programs will be organized against harassment of women and children, domestic violence, drug abuse, trafficking, child marriage, discrimination, child labour and other exploitation.
The Uttar Pradesh government has started a special campaign against child labour and child marriage. Under the Mission Shakti Abhiyan in the state, “Operation Mukti” against child labor and child marriage started from May 1 on Sunday. This special campaign is being run across the state for seven days by the Department of Women Welfare and Child Development.
On the occasion of International Child Labour Day and Akshaya Tritiya, special programs will be organized against child labor and child marriage till May 7. Under this, programs like awareness programs, rescue operations will be organized throughout the week.
Manoj Rai said that in this massive campaign, NGOs including Police, Traffic Police, Special Police Unit, Child Welfare Police Officer, GRP, Labor Department, Legal Services, Child Welfare Committee and District Administration are working together.
“All the concerned departments will be informed before the rescue operation. Keeping the information of the children taken out in the rescue operation completely confidential, full care will be taken for their return home, medical, food, shelter and other needy facilities,” he concluded.
