Lucknow, 19 February: The Police on Wednesday arrested the accused husband who was absconding in the murder of his wife in Mohanlalganj police station area. The stick used in the murder has also been recovered.
Sub-inspector (SI) Anup Kumar Singh said that Rajkumar, who lives in Majra Anandpur village of Hulas Kheda in Mohanlalganj, killed his wife Kanchan by beating her with a stick after a quarrel on Monday night.
Singh said that the accused fled after the incident. Kanchan’s father Kallu, a resident of Raebareli, gave a complaint to the police on Tuesday regarding the incident. In this, he told that his daughter Kanchan was married to Rajkumar 12 years ago. They have three children Piyush, Prince and Priyanshi.
After a quarrel between the two on Monday night, Rajkumar killed his daughter Kanchan by beating her with a stick. The accused was absconding since the incident. The police have arrested the accused from the canal culvert Hulas Kheda.
