Lucknow, 09 April: Coronavirus-infected patients in the capital will no longer have to wander to and fro for treatment. Covid patients can now get their treatment done in private hospitals. For this, the district administration has authorized 96 private hospitals. However, there are 96 hospitals registered under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
The condition arises due to sudden surge in Covid cases of has painted a gloomy picture of the city. More than a thousand suspected patients of corona are surfacing every single day. Patients are lying in hospitals. Some patients are unable to get to bed. Some patients are dying on the stretcher itself. The cremation grounds lined up with dead bosies whereas the hospitals have no beds for new Covid patients.
Sensing the grim situation, the District Magistrate in charge of Lucknow Roshan Jacob has authorized 96 more private hospitals for Covid treatment where corona infected patients can get their treatment.
The DM in charge said that so far 113 private hospitals have been authorized for corona treatment. Every possible help is being provided for better treatment to the patients. Shortage of oxygen is also being met.
