Lucknow , July 17: A young man committed suicide by shooting himself with an illegal weapon in Madiyaon area of ​​the capital Lucknow on Wednesday. He was suffering from illness, police said.

The police conducted a forensic investigation of the incident and sent the body for post-mortem. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Abhijit R Shankar stated that Shishir Mishra, the younger brother of Rajiv Mishra, who lived in a rented house in Madhuban Bihar Colony of Madiyaon in Lucknow, committed suicide by shooting himself in the temple with an illegal weapon. The police, who arrived on information, conducted a detailed investigation of the incident with the forensic team. The pistol and cartridges lying near the body were seized. Inquiry with the family revealed that Shishir was suffering from mental illness for a long time.

DCP told that despite getting treatment at many places, he was not getting relief. That is why he took this extreme step. At present, the police have filled the ‘Panchnama’ of the body and sent it for post-mortem.

Nephew shot and killed his maternal uncle and aunt, brother injured

Lucknow, July 17: Late on Tuesday night, in the Indiranagar area of ​​the capital Lucknow, a nephew shot and killed his maternal uncle and aunt. The maternal cousin is injured. Police have started investigating the case, police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police North Abhijit R Shankar provided details and told that information was received about firing in Sector-B Jayanagar locality of Indiranagar police station area. After receiving the information, the police swiftly reached the spot and investigated and found that Rajendra Singh, his wife Saroj Singh and their son Shravan Singh, who live in the locality, were shot. All three were admitted to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared Rajendra and his wife dead. Shravan is undergoing treatment.

DCP told that initial probe has revealed that Rajendra’s 17-year-old nephew has committed this incident. Police teams are engaged in searching the accused.
