Lucknow: Devipatan temple in Balrampur to be developed on lines of Maa Vindhyavasini & Kashi Vishwanath Corridor

Balrampur, 9 Dec: Maa Pateshwari Temple Devipatan, which is included in the Shaktipeeths, will be developed on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Varanasi and Maa Vindhyavasini Corridor Mirzapur. For which an outline is being prepared by the district administration after getting the green signal from the state government.

District Magistrate Arvind Singh said on Saturday that after getting in-principle consent for this from the government level, a big meeting has been called on Monday. In which hi-tech architects and departmental officers who have worked on big temples will be present.

A presentation of upgradation and beautification of the temple will be made by the team of architects.

He told reporters that the development of the main temple, outer area and the entire enclosure of Devipatan temple will be based on the ancient Nagar style (North Indian style) and Dravidian style (South Indian style) of temple construction. And this will be done after an in-depth study of Vesar style (Central Indian style) and architectural structures. In the upgradation and beautification of the temple, proper architecture will be taken full care of and the proposal will be prepared accordingly.

The District Magistrate said that immediately after the completion of the work of purchasing land for the proposed university in the district, the work of purchasing land on a large scale for the development of the temple will begin.

He said measures are being taken to propagate historical and religious importance of the state fair to be held in Devipatan. Keeping in mind the huge crowd of devotees and the arrival of VVIPs, a proposal worth Rs 159 lakh have been sent to the government for the construction of four VIP rest rooms in the premises of Inspection Building, Public Works Department, Tulsipur. After getting approval from the government, the construction work of VIP rest room will be started.

It is noteworthy that Shaktipeeth Devipatan is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths and holds its own special significance. In-principle consent to develop the temple from religious and tourism point of view has been received from the government. The work of rejuvenation of the temple will start in the coming financial year.

Along with the development of the temple, work will be done keeping in mind every point of tourism facilities along with laying a network of excellent roads and main roads around the temple.

The district administration was working on the strategy for the development of the temple for the last few months, which has been approved in principle by the government.
