Lucknow, August 29: Wife and 20-year-old son of Rajeev Dutt Bajpai, senior railway officer, were shot dead in Gautampalli police station area.
Due to the incident in the high security zone of Gautampalli, the entire police department was alerted and rushed to the crime scene to investigate the matter.
Police Commissioner Lucknow Sujeet Pandey apprised that prima facie the case does not appear to be robbery. The bodies of RD Bajpai’s wife and son were lying on the bed inside his house.
He further told that officer’s daughter and a servant was inside the house during the incident and they are being grilled.
“The entire incident will be revealed as soon as possible. The deceased have been identified as wife Malini and son Sharad. The bodies of both have been sent for post-mortem,” Pandey informed.
Meanwhile, The Director General of Police (DGP) Uttar Pradesh Hitesh Chandra Awasthi also reached the spot. He inspected the crime scene and told the revelation of the case will be done within 24 hours.
