Lucknow, 09 March: Imam of Eidgah and Chairman of Markazi Chand Committee, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali informed here on Saturday that the holy month of Ramadan is about to begin. The crescent moon of Ramadan will be sighted on March 11. The first Roza will be observed on March 12.
Maulana Mahali said that Markji Chand Committee has been announcing the dates after seeing the moon on March 11. The phase of Tarawih will start in mosques from March 11. Arrangements for Tarawih have been made at Eidgah in Aishbagh.
He further said that Namaz will be held at 07.45 at Jama Masjid Idgah in Lucknow. Better arrangements have been made in the mosque for offering namaz. Preparations for Ramadan are also going on in mosques and homes of Uttar Pradesh.
