Barabanki, 28 June: A brother killed his real sister by cutting her with an axe at Safdarganj area of the district on Thrusday night. However, the reason behind the incident is that the brother has doubts about his sister’s character.
The police have arrested the accused and interrogated him and have started legal proceedings.
Mohammad Usman, 50, son of Islam, resident of Nai Basti locality located in Safdarganj area, on Thursday night, living in the house along with his sister Jamila Bano, 30, brutally murdered her by slitting the throat with an axe.
On Friday, mother Zohra started screaming after seeing her daughter’s blood-soaked body in the room. Hearing the noise, people from the neighborhood gathered.
On information, police reached the spot and arrested the accused brother Usman.
SP Dinesh Kumar Singh reached the spot and inspected the incident site. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. On the other hand, the police is investigating the entire matter with the help of dog squad.
Deceased Jamila Bano was married to Mohammad Asif, a resident of Masauli area, about two and a half years ago and she had come to her maternal home about 15 days ago.
At present the police say that the reason for the murder is not completely clear yet. But somewhere the brother had doubts about the sister’s character due to which he killed her. Further action is being taken.
