Lucknow, March 15: The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) seized the SRS city Mall in Gomtinagar in the capital on Sunday.
The management of SRS Mall was given notice by the LMC to deposit house tax of Rs 49 lakhs. However, mall management did not respond to this notice. On which, according to the order of the Municipal Commissioner, seize action was initiated by the Municipal Corporation of Lucknow.
Meanwhile, the action of the LMC on the prestigious SRS Mall of Gomti Nagar has created a panic scene among the house tax defaulters.
There are about 100 such defaulters in the Municipal Corporation list, who have not been depositing house tax for a long time.
