Lucknow: Muslim religious leaders welcome the decision of the Supreme Court

Lucknow, 21 October: The bench of Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra of the Supreme Court, while hearing a petition of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, stayed the recommendation of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights to stop financial aid to madrassas. After which all Muslim religious leaders including Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali, Maulana Yasin Abbas of Lucknow welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights had recommended to stop government funded and aided madrassas for not following the Right to Education Act of NCPCR. On which the advocate of the Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has put forward all arguments.

Similarly, Imam and religious leader of Lucknow Idgah Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali said that there should be no wrong decision in the name of madrasas. Madrasas are open for every religion, students of madrasas also have full right to education. We welcome the decision of the Supreme Court.

General Secretary of All India Shia Personal Law Board Maulana Yasin Abbas said that the decision of the Supreme Court regarding madrasas is welcome. There is a conspiracy to close the madrasas. Which has been stopped by the decision of the Supreme Court.
