Ghazipur, 30 April: Nusrat Ansari, daughter of Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari, will be the first woman from the Ansari family to enter politics, according to sources. Recently, a photo of Nusrat went viral on social media, showing her advocating for her father, offering water, and performing kirtan at the Shiva temple here.
The daughter of SP candidate Afzal Ansari was spotted with the SP women’s wing, urging to women to vote for her father. In temples, she was spotted doing kirtan. According to reports, Nusrat is planning to run for her father’s position in the upcoming elections. Her decision to enter politics made news in the media since she was the first woman in her family to do so.
SP head Akhilesh Yadav visited their house for ‘Matampursi’ and met members of the Ansari family, including Nusrat. According to reports, Nusrat has consented to carry on her father’s political legacy at the urging of Akhilesh Yadav. Despite the fact that voting for the Lok Sabha elections is nearing completion, political party candidates are ramping up their public relations operations.
SP has handed a ticket to Afzal Ansari, the current BSP MP from Ghazipur. Ghazipur’s seventh phase of voting will take place on June 1. Nominations for this will be accepted from May 7 until May 14. More than 20 lakh people will vote in 2,936 booths. The SP fielded Afzal Ansari, Paras Nath Rai from the BJP, and Dr Umesh Singh from the BSP.
