Lucknow, 19 November: Police have arrested his wife and brother-in-law in the case of killing Inspector Satish Kumar Singh, posted in PAC under Krishnanagar police station area on the night of Diwali, said police.
It is alleged that both of them committed the crime after a dispute over their opposition to having relations with other women.
Deputy Commissioner of Police South Vineet Jaiswal held a press conference on this matter on Sunday.
He told that after revealing the murder of Satish, the police have arrested his wife Bhavna Singh and brother-in-law Devendra Kumar Verma.
Devendra told that his brother-in-law had relations with other women. When his sister protested, he used to torture her physically and mentally. He used to beat her and threaten to kill her. Due to this, he had hatched a plan and when his sister brought his brother-in-law outside the house alone, he took the opportunity and shot him dead. The police have arrested both of them on charges of murder. A pistol has been recovered from them.
