Lucknow, 18 September: There was a dispute between two brothers after drinking alcohol at Ghazipur police station area on Sunday midnight. On this, the elder brother killed the younger brother by stabbing him with a knife. After arresting the accused, the police has started taking further action, the police said.
ADCP North said in this regard on Monday that on Sunday night, a young man named Satish called Ghazipur police station and informed that his brother Sandeep had stabbed his younger brother Sunil (34). He is being taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital for treatment. The doctor declared Sunil dead.
Meanwhile, the police reached the spot after receiving the information, took possession of the body and started investigation. The accused has been caught.
During interrogation, he told that his younger brother used to work in a battery shop. Often both of them used to sit together and drink alcohol. They were drinking alcohol late on Sunday night when they had a fight over some issue. In anger, Sandeep injured Sunil with a knife.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem. On Satish’s complaint, a case has been registered under serious sections including murder, Sandeep has been arrested and further action has been taken.
