Moradabad, October 26: The last lunar eclipse of the year 2023 will take place after midnight on Saturday, October 28.
In India, it will last from 01:05 AM to 02:24 AM after midnight. Saturday is the full moon of Ashwin month. The full moon of Ashwin month is also known as Sharad Purnima. This lunar eclipse can be seen in India, due to which its Sutak period will be valid.
Pandit Hemant Bhatt, director of Moradabad-based Sugam Astrology Centre and priest of Shiv Shakti Mandir Ramganga Vihar, told Hindusthan Samachar on Thursday that on October 28, the Khandagra lunar eclipse will take place after midnight from 01:05 am to 02:24 am.
The duration of this eclipse will be one hour and 19 minutes. Sutak will start at 04.05 p.m. on Saturday evening, 9 hours before the Khandagra lunar eclipse. The doors of the temples will be closed as soon as Sutak begins.
Pandit Hemant Bhatt said that the southern core of the moon will be slightly affected by this eclipse. Along with India, this eclipse can be seen in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Turkey, Nigeria, Algeria, South Africa, Germany, Poland, and the entire Europe, including Ukraine, France, Italy, Spain, Britain, Norway, Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, Korea, and the eastern part of Brazil, etc.
