Maharashtra: Latur collector bans ‘drones-flying’ in view of PM Modi rally on April 30

Latur, 28 April: The Latur district administration has banned drone flying until the intervening night of April 30-May 1, and has also imposed traffic limitations on many routes, according to an official on Sunday.

These restrictions are in place ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha election rally in Birle Farm on April 30, according to Kiran Patil, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Latur district in charge.

Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge has issued an order banning drones till midnight on April 30 and May 1. She has also put restrictions on heavy trucks on various highways between 12 noon and 5 p.m. on April 30, according to officials.

Patil stated that the PM’s rally would begin at 12:30pm and will be attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.
