Mumbai, October 10 : Traders have announced not to participate in the “Maharashtra Bandh” called on Monday by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of Maharashtra to protest against the Lakhimpur Kheri incident in Uttar Pradesh.
Traders will protest the Lakhimpur Kheri incident by keeping their business establishments running only by wearing black tape. Traders have decided to start shops and all business establishments in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur.
Federation of Retail Traders Welfare Association (RWA) President Viren Shah said that trader will protest the incident of Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh by wearing black tape.
He said that traders have suffered a lot due to Corona, so traders will keep their shops open. Don’t bother them. Traders have decided to start shops and all business establishments in other cities including Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress President Nana Patole said that a peaceful Maharashtra bandh is being organized by the Congress on Monday to protest against the Lakhimpur Kheri incident in the state. On Monday, from 12 o’clock to 1 o’clock in the day, there will be a silent demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan for one hour.
Former state Congress president Ashok Chavan said that the party workers will organize a peaceful bandh. No one will be harassed anywhere. Essential services will not be allowed to be disrupted during the shutdown.
Shiv Sena youth leader and state tourism minister Aaditya Thackeray said that Shiv Sainiks will join Maharashtra bandh to protest the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. Efforts will be made to make the bandh successful.
Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that full force will be used by Shiv Sena for Maharashtra bandh.
Nationalist Congress Party spokesperson Nawab Malik said that the Lakhimpur Kheri incident has caused outrage across the country. Maharashtra bandh has been announced by Mahavikas Aghadi regarding this matter. NCP will be fully involved in this bandh.
