Mumbai, May 28: Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that the Uddhav Thackeray government of Maharashtra is about to fall on its own due to the internal contradictions.
There is no need to topple this government and we are not even going to attempt to topple the government.
He said that this government should only try to deal with Corona crisis. The opposition is completely with the government.
Devendra Fadnavis was speaking to reporters on Thursday.
He said that due to corona crisis in the state there has been an outcry. 36 percent of the corona patients in the country are in Maharashtra and 42 percent of the corona deaths occurred here.
The state government is deliberately accusing the opposition of toppling the government, so that public attention can be diverted from this burning issue.
Fadnavis said that the opposition is not interested in toppling the government, the opposition wants the government to prevent coronavirus infection at the ground level.
He said that at this time Corona patients in Mumbai are unable to get beds. Patients are not being treated properly. Patients are not receiving ambulances. In order to divert attention from this, the opposition is being falsely accused of toppling the government.
Fadnavis warned that if the BJP wants to establish a government in the state, it will not face any problem in raising the numbers. But at this time the opposition’s entire focus is only on the corona crisis.
He said that Shiv Sena was his main ally for 25 years, but they have now gained power along with Congress and Nationalist Congress, disregarding the principles of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray. Therefore, Shiv Sena is now an old thing for him and he is not looking for it. The Shiv Sena road is different and the BJP path is different. But Uddhav Thackeray as Chief Minister is not getting the support of allies.
Fadnavis alleged that even during the crisis of Corona in the state, the administrative officers are acting in an arbitrary manner. They are not controlled by the government, due to which cases of coronavirus infection are not being properly handled. The general public is getting upset, so he will continue to raise the voice of the general public.
