Lucknow, 22 April: So far, 33 IAS officers were transferred in Uttar Pradesh last night. In this, apart from two Principal Secretaries, District Magistrates of many districts were changed.
In the transfer of Principal Secretaries, Principal Secretary L. Venkateshwar Lu has been relieved from the post of Principal Secretary, Transport Department and Chairman, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation from Transport, Social Welfare and Sainik Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh Government, Chairman, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Director General, Uttar Pradesh Administration and Management Academy and Deendayal Upadhyay State Rural Development Institute and Director, Scheduled Tribe Research and Training Institute and Director Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj, UP, while the remaining posts remain unchanged and similarly Principal Secretary Amit Gupta has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Uttar Pradesh Government and Chairman, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Lucknow, Health and Family Welfare Department.

The most talked about transfer in the transfer list is that of Shishir Singh, who has been removed from the post of Special Secretary, Culture Department, Uttar Pradesh Government and Director, Information and Culture and made Special Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Export Promotion Department, UP Government and Chief Executive Officer, Khadi and Village Industries Board. In his place, Bhadohi District Magistrate Vishal Singh has been made Special Secretary, Culture Department, Uttar Pradesh Government and Director, Information and Culture, Uttar Pradesh.
